Sorry guys, but I’m going to use my self as an example on this one: Don’t always like to, but lead by example right… :)

Overhead squats. Huge weakness of mine, still! Months into crossfit. I felt like such a panzy because I had to do this wod with 30lbs. Struggling!! I could lift heavy with anything else, but Over Head Squats. Different story. I was pissed. It’s now 2 years, and I’m battling this baby RX.

It all takes time! I waited 2 years for this!

So, set your goals. Could be anywhere from getting pull-ups to not walking on a run to nutrition. Set them, practice them. Have a reminder. And let’s be great today! And it’s good to tell someone else your goals. Work together and they’ll keep you on track.

    Good luck!

Josh… a demanding workout that celebrates the life of a true warrior, and one of the best men I ever served with.

Staff Sergeant Joshua R. Hager, 29, serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom, with the 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Ft. Carson, Colorado, was killed in action on February 23, 2007. SSG Hager is survived by his wife, Heather, and son, Bayley. He is also survived by his mother, Lois Knight of Broomfield, CO, his father, Kris Hager of Sarasota, FL, and his step-brother, Ensign Aaron Jozsef, USCG serving in Miami, FL. SSG Hager was born in Denver, CO and attended grade school in Broomfield. He graduated from Colorado High School of Denver, a charter school, in 1995. SSG Hager enlisted in the Army in 1998 and received numerous awards of merit and valor. Upon completing boot camp, SSG Hager was awarded the “Iron Mike,” also known as the Audie Murphy award. SSG Hager completed jump school and joined the 82nd Airborne. He was “fast-tracked” for promotion and served with distinction in Korea. Returning to the states, he completed Army Ranger training and eventually served two and one half years as a Ranger Instructor at the 6th RTB, Eglin AFB, FL. SSG Hager transferred to Ft. Carson in order to join an infantry unit scheduled for duty in Iraq. He has been awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at the Soldiers’ Memorial Chapel, Fort Carson, Colorado. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903. As SSG Hager would say, and as all Rangers would say, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, “Here I am. Send me!” Rangers Lead The Way.

    Jay,
We were away on the boat all weekend and I didn’t get to comment the other day. You are truly an inspiration. And we are all very fortunate to train with (and sometimes play with) you!!!! I wish you continued success in all that you do :)
